It is rare to find a hotel like Ca’Bonfadini. One which encompasses so many positive factors! The room was large as was the shower room. View of the canal from two canal facing windows. The room was clean - and I mean REALLY clean. The bed linen and bathroom towels were in perfect condition - not worn and tired like so many hotel towels and bedding these days. The staff were super helpful - making suggestions about restaurants as well as arranging water taxis. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Venice and the hotel was not informed. But as soon as they found out they really spoiled us! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We also loved that the hotel was on a canal close to stations for the public transport (water bus), close to Venice main rail station and away from the masses and noise, yet still within easy walking distance of all main attractions.

From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave it was an exceptional experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny spent. The hotel is immaculately clean and centrally located. The rooms have your own expresso machine at no extra charge and complimentary waters. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend you treat yourself. They also have a Michelin star restaurant in which I would have loved to try but did not get the opportunity. If I had one complaint , was that if you don’t get breakfast with your room rate they charge $40 Euros per person for breakfast. Thats quite expensive for breakfast,so we would just get a bite at the closest cafe.

The property was very clean, quiet, and the decor was very very Venetian! We absolutely loved our room and we felt like Royalty. Location was very good because it was far enough away from the tourists and in a part of the city that has charm and is not as over priced as the busier parts of town. It is also very walkable to everything, including Piazzale Roma if you’re traveling without too much luggage. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful! I felt like they went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay and we certainly did!

It is beautiful and opulent. The room was amazing. We were welcomed with champagne and chocolates. The location is lovely and right on the canal. First time visitors to Venice (this may or may not be obvious to some) need to know that you cannot access the hotel except by foot or water taxi. We walked from Piazzale Roma with large suitcases up and down stairs etc. it’s a lot. About a mile. A water taxi will cost you 75E flat fee. The hotel should arrange for transportation for their guests at $1000 a night. Just a thought.

I wanted to cancel this booking after my poor experience at the Grand Palace Hotel Verase which is part of the same group. Even though they had three days notice, the hotel refused to cancel so I feared the worst….but there was no need to panic. This hotel is excellent and deserving of the regular praise that travellers have bestowed upon them. The style remains classic but with a very modern update and the suite and facilities are a charm. You won’t go wrong choosing here for your stay or special occasion.
